Business Development Manager

The role of a Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new business for our clients. This is done by cold calling businesses that will benefit from doing business with our client. The goal is to profile, prospect and nurture a contact into a lead which is then passed on to the sales team of our client. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for providing unmatched customer service, gathering data, accurate and detailed documentation & coding into Salesforce and developing and maintaining relationships through consistent contact.

  • Effectively represent multiple industries, products & services.
  • Work independently as well as within a group.
  • Accept direction from the customer as well as internally within Concept Services, Ltd.
  • Make 80-100 calls per day.
  • Balance quantity of calls with the quality of calls.
  • Knowledgeable of their customer’s products or services and able to effectively communicate at a high, consultative level.
  • Achieve their monthly goals on a regular basis.
  • Manage their accounts like they personally work for them. Treat their accounts with respect and provide a level of service that is perceived to be better than a direct employee would provide.
  • Deliver results for their accounts. Results may be measured differently for each account. Results are measured against quota.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing the activity and results generated for their accounts. The BDM must work to establish a good working relationship with his/her accounts.
  • Provide a high level of detail. A BDM needs to be able to support their results and feedback, whether positive or negative. When generating Leads, they must provide as detailed information as possible regarding the level of interest, current pains, what the prospect wants to discuss, who the client will be meeting with, accurate address information, what solution they are currently using, etc.
  • BDM’s will be evaluated on the success rate of their accounts extending beyond the initial engagement. If the BDM can take Ownership, deliver Results, effectively Communicate, and provide a high-level of Detail, our accounts will perceive Concept Services as a Value-Add to their organization.
  • This individual must become proficient using the PC, including MS Word, email and the Internet. The BDM must be able to quickly get up to speed using Salesforce.com and in a short period of time must be able to effectively manage their task list and provide appropriate and accurate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Professionally represent Concept Services and his/her accounts. This includes moral character, good business decision-making, professional appearance, and good telephone ethics.


  • High School Diploma (Or equivalent).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Business Development preferred.
  • Proficiency of the English language.
  • Proficiency using a computer.
  • Salesforce experience is preferred.


Hourly plus Commission

8:00am-5:00pm (Monday – Friday)
1 hour lunch break from 12:00pm-1:00pm
Full-Time – 40 hours per week

Technology Requirements:
Must be proficient using the computer. Experience using Customer Relationship Management solutions such as salesforce.com, ACT, Goldmine, etc. is a plus. Must be proficient using MS Word and Outlook.
