As a sales development agency in Medina, OH, Concept was recently named a 2019 Weatherhead 100 recipient. Each year, the Weatherhead 100 awards recognize a group of companies that exemplify leadership, growth, and success in Northeast Ohio.

The Weatherhead 100 awards were established in 1988 as a way to celebrate the companies leading the way in Northeast Ohio. The awards have now expanded into three categories: Weatherhead 100 Upstarts, Weatherhead 100 and Weatherhead 100 Centurions. Concept was selected to be in the Weatherhead 100 category, in which recipients are celebrated for significant growth in net sales over the past 5 years – from at least $100,000 to at least $1 million.

Over the last 17 years, Concept has grown to over 100 employees and recently saw the promotion of Jeff Harsh from VP, Sales and Marketing to President in November 2019. Jeff Harsh Named President of Concept, LTD

Concept, LTD, a sales development agency, recently named Jeff Harsh president effective immediately. As president, Harsh will oversee goals and strategy set for 2020 centered around sales and marketing, incorporating new technologies, and new service offerings for Concept’s clients.

Harsh, 32, has been with Concept since 2010 where he has served in most roles at Concept. He started as a Sales Development Representative, who is responsible for opening doors for new business opportunities on behalf of our clients ultimately resulting in setting sales-qualified appointments. He was then promoted to Account Manager where he grew Concept’s CRM Integration and Marketing Automation division and became a certified business partner with Salesforce.

Harsh served as V.P. of Operations for two years. In 2018, Harsh moved to the sales side of Concept and became the V.P. Sales & Marketing. In this role, he initiated Concept’s movement into digital marketing and built a marketing division, which now enables Concept to offer a full suite of lead generation services to our clients including Google advertising, search engine optimization, email marketing, sales cadence management, and website development services. Concept, within the first year of offering digital marketing services, has recently become a certified HubSpot and Google Partner.

Harsh is a graduate from Wadsworth High School and attended the University of Akron where he received his Bachelor of Science, Business Administration/Marketing degree. Harsh lives in Copley with his wife, Lexi, and their daughter Halle.

The changes that have taken place at Concept in the past five years are almost too vast to articulate. Over the last half-decade, innovation in support of business growth has become almost second nature to Founder and President Dan Harsh.

Concept began in 2002 with a sole focus on lead generation and management via old-fashioned phone calling. They had no headquarters and no alternative approach to servicing their accounts.

Concept has since expanded its footprint to fill a 26,000 square foot facility with over 100 employees dividing their time between calling, digital marketing, and CRM management to present custom, full-service sales solutions to its clients. Since Dan Harsh announced Concept’s 2019 dedicated focus on revenue generation, a new company-wide structure and mentality have set the stage for future growth.

From expanding into CRM Technology in 2013 and, most recently, Digital Marketing in 2018, Concept has truly found a way to provide full-service sales support to its customers. The integration and collaboration between the internal Sales, Marketing, Account Development, and Operations teams has enabled the organization to identify common pain points of new prospects and create unique solutions to best support the individual sales efforts of its growing customer base.

Management has open communication and frequent engagement with employees through the Digital Announcement Boards and the Community Chatter group in Salesforce. Here, employees and leaders can give shout-outs, assign tasks, and make announcements to provide an open line of communication throughout the company.

To boost morale, Concept holds employee appreciation events like waffle bars, ice cream socials, giveaways, hot chocolate/coffee bars, and donut Thursdays. These are a great opportunity for management teams to reward hard work and remain visible for all workers. The company also holds an annual karaoke competition for a fun way to relax and make new friends.
